Webinar Wednesdays – IPv6 Deployment Steps

Please join BT Diamond IP experts Mike Dooley and Tim Rooney for a free webinar covering key steps to deploying IPv6. This webinar discusses the IPv6 deployment process from discovery, assessment, design, and budget control to managing deployment and post-deployment dual protocol networks. Guten Tag, everyone, hello!

I write to you today after some very exciting months for BT Global Telecoms Markets in Germany and a well-deserved break over the festive season. I hope you enjoyed one, too.

Will this bring the internet to a screeching halt?

Fortunately, no, thanks to a newer version of the Internet Protocol, version 6 or IPv6.

As communications devices continue to evolve and proliferate, new devices will be assigned IPv6 addresses. While this is good for maintaining connectivity to the internet, it could be bad news for organizations that still support only the current IPv4 version. [Read more...]

Are you ready for IPv6?

IPv6 is now everywhere. Our recent IPv6 Industry Survey shows that 13% of the market have already IPv6-enabled their organisations’ networks, and another 44% are either in the process of doing it or have firm plans to transition to IPv6 in the next couple of years.

The world around us is changing; IPv6 will be deployed across the globe in the near future. Your customers will be using it to access your systems. BT can help you assess your IP network to determine what, if any, network modifications or upgrades may be required to support IPv6; then assist with planning, implementation and IPv4 to IPv6 transition.  [Read more...]
