RSA 2012: Securing Data and Ensuring Privacy in the Cloud

RSA 2012 kicks-off  soon, and one of the topics that everyone is buzzing about is cloud security.  It seems that no matter how many conversations we engage in about data privacy in the cloud, there are always more questions to be asked and more issues to be explored.

One of the best things about RSA is how many security practitioners and experts it concentrates in one place, so conversations get into the substantive issues straight away; no beating around the bush and no dillydallying!  This panel on Tuesday February 28, 2012 at 1:10pm in Room 310 is no exception.

BT’s Global Head of Business Continuity, Governance and Security, Jeff Schmidt, is part of the panel of experts, moderated by Maria Lewis Kussmaul of America’s Growth Capital, who will discuss the risks posed to both data in rest and data in transit and some strategies to ensure the security and privacy of data is maintained.  Jeff and his fellow panel members will draw on their organizations’ best practices to inform the discussion and share what they have learned from their own and their customers’ experiences.

Can’t make it to San Francisco for RSA 2012?  Then join in the discussion in the comments section below, or send a question to Jeff that he can pose to the panel.
