BT named ‘Best International Wholesale Carrier’ at the 2016 Telecom Asia Awards.

BT once again won the ‘Best International Wholesale Carrier’ award at Telecom Asia’s 19th annual awards ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.

Rajiv Verma, head – emerging markets, BT Global Services, received the award at the ceremony.

This is the 6th year in a row that BT has won awards at the Telecom Asia Awards ceremony.

BT wins Carriers World Technology Innovation Award.

Global Telecom Markets has won the Carriers World Awards 2015 in the Technology Innovation category.

Carriers World Awards recognize excellence in global Telecom industry and selected winners across 13 award categories. The programme acknowledges innovation and outstanding performance from carriers, service providers and suppliers to the industry.

BT wins at Atlantic-ACM’s Global Wholesale Award

Atlantic-ACM AwardBT was voted the winner in “Large Service Provider Voice Value” category at the Global Wholesale Service Provider Excellence Awards, organized by Strategy research consultancy firm ATLANTIC-ACM, at PTC ’15 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

ATLANTIC-ACM Awards are “voice of the customer” awards based on benchmarking studies, including ATLANTIC-ACM’s Report Card series, in which customers rate their providers (wholesale and retail) in key network, operations (key touch point) and product categories. This year’s awards were based on approximately 1,500 individual ratings of global telecom service providers – by their wholesale customers. [Read more…]

BT wins award for “Best use of wifi” at 2014

BT Research and Innovation has won the 2014 award in the category “Best use of wifi” for its Wi-fi Roam service.

The 2014 awards took place in London’s Barbican, recognising innovations from 16 categories that covered the most topical areas of the industry. The event was attended by 170 industry figures from across the telecoms world.

The winners were chosen by a panel of eight independent judges from a diverse range of backgrounds and with a collective wealth of experience within the telecoms industry. In some of the categories the competition was so close between two different entries that the judges decided to mention the close second second-placed entry.

The panel choose BT’s Wi-fi Roam, BT’s soon to be launched secure Wi-fi roaming services, for the award under the category of “Best Use of wifi”.

BT wins two trophies at Global Telecoms Business awards

On 14 May in London, Global Telecoms Business (GTB) presented its annual awards to the companies behind the most innovative projects in the telecoms industry. The awards were presented in five categories: Innovation in fixed network infrastructure, wireless network infrastructure, wholesale service, business service, and consumer service.BT won two awards, for innovation in fixed network infrastructure and in wireless network infrastructure.

The fixed network infrastructure award recognizes BT’s joint efforts with Alcatel-Lucent for the alien super-channel flexgrid infrastructure trial.

GTM and GENBAND won the wireless network infrastructure innovation award for their jointly developed diameter-signalling solution that enhances subscriber-roaming capabilities.
