256X144_CorbettWhitton-eZineThe wholesale portfolio continues to be a key part of BT’s strategy and business. Our primary objective is to complement both the portfolio of products and the network reach of wholesale customers.

We have been meeting several of our carrier customers in the Americas in past few months at big conferences like ITW in Chicago and we would like to share some of the common feedback we received as well as our focus going forward.

Two products that are particularly appealing to most of our customers are IP Connect Global, which enable customers to use our global network via an NNI, and Inbound Contact Global, which delivers International Toll Free Service in 175 countries around the world. Security important for telco at ITW.

International Telecoms Week saw more than 5,600 participants this year in Chicago in May. One of the most important topics they discussed was security. Flanked by a panel on wholesale security with representatives from PCCW, AT&T, Level 3 and BT’s Jason Cook, CISO of BT Americas, media interest was specifically high. Whether or not a customer has to secure their networks is not the question anymore. But what is the best way? How do telecom providers offer the best services to their corporate and end customers?
